Re: Version 2.0 french OOB

narwan,

This is an OOB problem that I have seen before in other versions of this game. Squads too big to transport, not enough vehicles to transport all units, and missing units and formations....

The PATCH! What do you think?

IMHO all I have to say is, GREAT JOB! Its so much better to see a struck armored vehicle blow up immediatly than have to wait for it while it thinks of blowing up. The Abrams gun is better, thank...

M39 Icon?

Look at this. If you like it you can have it. The one in the game has the seating arrangement wrong.

Re: rifles gripes

SKS carbine in the Romanian OOB only has a HE Kill or 1 when all other Nations I checked with this weapon has a HE Kill of 2.

I did not go through all the Nations so it may have to be done.

Re: Soviet tank crew survival.

I like the idea of droping the crew survival on some Russian built tanks to 3. I don't think this will effect game play and will reduce the amount of full strength crew walking away from a brew up.

Re: HEAT vs Helicopters

JaM,

It can be done. You just have to be sitting still and have a helo that is not moving to fast.

Here is a pic from the Global Security web site of a 120mm M830A1 HEAT round (fielded 1994...

Re: Soviet auto-loaders

Like the advantage of their experience rating?

Or why their guns are 2 to 3 points less in the accuracy rating? (While not true of all Western tanks with 120mm guns, some of which have guns from...

Re: Soviet tank crew survival.

Marcello,

Catastrofic destruction of a T-72 is due to design flaws. Ammo and fuel are both easily torched by a pennetrating hit.

Re: Soviet auto-loaders

DRG,

I did test the higher numbers and it was too much. But the ability to fire one extra round will at least close the ROF gap with out having to go to almost unrealistic experience ratings. ...

Re: Soviet tank crew survival.

Bernard,

I should have but now Im over age.

But it is just a fact that when a T-72 or any other Iraqi tank was hit by a DU round from a 120mm gun there were no survivors.
When a DU round...

Re: Indirect fire accuracy question

Try kicking up the accuracy rating AND using a VERY good FOO. If the target is somewhere near the middle of the map the rounds fired should group tighter than if you added no accuracy to the unit.

Re: Accuracy values for the main guns - MBT\'s.

DGR,

When you approch the 9-10 second time range then you are talking about a 2 to 1 shot difference in favor of a western tank.

Re: Soviet auto-loaders

There may be a temporary solution. If you raise the ROF of Western tanks to 14 this will raise the on board ROF of their main guns by 1. This will at least help. Going higher, (like into the 20s or...

Re: Soviet auto-loaders

Yes scJazz, they are right to a point.

At experiance 75 to 99 an M1 Abrams has a ROF of 4. If it moves a little more than its full movement allowance the ROF is reduced to 3. Full movement reduces...

Re: Soviet tank crew survival.

I tested this. With a crew survival of 1 it made almost no difference. The tanks did not get destroyed easier. But when they did a few less crews survived with all 3 crew men. Some had 3 but most had...

Re: Soviet auto-loaders

nar wan,

At high speed the Abrams crew describes the experiance more as flying. This is not true of most Soviet tanks or 50s, 60s, 70s, era tanks. Even now they only have a modified suspention of...

Re: Soviet auto-loaders

nar wan,

You make some excellent points about movement being a factor. In the game, if a unit fires it will lose movement points. It can fire its full ROF and still have a little movement left.

Re: Soviet tank crew survival.

All that im saying is that during the 1991 Iraq War, no Iraqie tanker survived if they were hit by a US DU round and if they were still in the tank.

If the turret blowes off who is around to talk...
