Right on. As far as I'm concerned I based the Penetration and WHS values on bomblet parameters. The size of the bomblet also gave base for the HEK value, which is calculated using bomblet explosive...

I agree, getting a lightweight front pic and a link to an archive may be the best solution, though more complicated.
PNG pics I have tested tend to stick to the original colors but don't lose much...

As Marcello said, you can simulate large sand berms and similar by using terrain elevation. I generally go for this for fortified bases and the like. Real, urban-terrain walls are much harder to come...

AFAIK, there's three things the PLAN lacks for such long-range power projection: long range air superiority, seafaring troops carriers/LHDs/LSDs and blue-water logistics (underway replenishment)....

Regarding weapon slots, there are ways to deal with the shortage if you're ready to coope with some minor inaccuracies.
For instance TMGs and CMGs are often redundant.
