Re: Emergency build
I got to do something.....everybody else is in the thousands but, on a different subject, and without using a new post, I have a base built on a asteroid field thats mining, if I create a planet and put a colony on it, will the base still mine the planet?

Re: Emergency build
I haven't used any kind of creation components since SE3; but I thought it would blow the base?

Re: Emergency build
Remote miners will mine anything that is uncolonized.
Stellar manip ships have never been destroyed by the direct use of their components, only the side effects (say, of destroying a star, which demolishes everything in the system, including planets)
The components themselves may need repair after use, but that dosen't destroy the ship.

He wasn't asking about the "Manip Ship" SJ. He was asking if the base doing the mining would be destroyed and if not will the base mine the new planet?

Re: Emergency build
SoD I was just wondering something? Why did you build a remote mining base instead of a remote mining ship. You can move the ship around but the base is... well you know; stuck!

Re: Emergency build
The maintenance costs on bases are half that of ships, so you're remote mining operation is more efficient. Once the resource is depleted, you just scrap the base.
