saving log texts?
Is there a way to save the log texts for later review? I tried changing a couple of lines in settings.txt (Create Log Text Files For Players and Create Log Text File for Game, set both to TRUE) and this did create text files of the log entries... but they are overwritten each turn with the new logs, rather than having the new logs appended.
I doubt I would want to look at these too often, as they would be pretty boring overall unless it was a really really really classic game, but sometimes I want to look back and see something that happened a few turns back and I can't find any way of doing that now.

Re: saving log texts?
you can always rename or copy files in savegame folder. I always do it when I play simultaneous turn games.

Re: saving log texts?
Right click on the Quadrant Map. Then, click on a system. You can write notes there for every system. Not a perfect solution, but it can work.

I thought of that, but knowing me I will probably forget to do it some or most of the time, and of course the times I forget would have a Murphetically high probability of being those logs I would want to check - so I was hoping for some better way. Thanks for the suggestion!

Wow, I did *not* know that!
I will have to try that out ASAP - seems it would be perfect for notes of what I intend to do with certain planets, etc.
Are these saved in text files, or only readable in-game? Do they persist until you get rid of them?

Wow, so cool , I can hardly wait to try this out!

Re: saving log texts?
They are only viewable in-game, unfortunately.
Thay Last forever until you delete them (or delete the savegame, ofc ).
