Query on Sat Mining
I know only one ship can mine an astroid field but can I keep stacking sat miners and have them count as "1 ship" or does every sat I add to the stack do nothing?
Thanks!

Re: Query on Sat Mining
You can have a sat mining each resource type in a sector.

Then what you mean is 3 sats is max...one for each resource type, right?

Re: Query on Sat Mining
Drat! (thought I found a way to mine without maintenance!)
Thanks, I. Fyron!

Re: Query on Sat Mining
It is actually wasteful to do it that way because you will be making a lot less of each resource while depleting all the values at once. It is better to make your ships mine a single resource.

Assuming there is no other compelling reason (like, for instance, a 300% 50% 300% asteroid), that's the way I do it.

I hadn't thought about that. I guess I'll have to change my strategy then. Thanks

if i remote mine, i use bases, not ships. they can carry a lot more miner's and have half the maintanence cost. unless you meant to include bases in 'ships'?
