Can not load patch

Whenever I try to load the patch it tells me that I do not have the right Version for the patch and that I should try reloading the game from CD. I have tried that but still get the same thing.

Do you have the demo on your machine? I believe when the patch starts it looks for the first match to the game and it maybe finding your copy of the demo instead of the game. Make sure the patch selects the location of the game and not the demo.

I never loaded the demo.
