Re: Help!
The .txt files apparently contain all required lines.
It just that program does not read them !
I compared files before patch and after, and
1.19 files in my machine DO have these extra lines, but
program still produce the message that "these and those fields are missing in setting.txt" but they are there !
Any ideas ? I also tried Mephisto 1.60 mod.,
but it did not cure the problem.

Re: Help!
Have you installed any new shipsets with AI files? If so those AI files may be old.

Re: Help!
I had a similar problem. What happened is that the patch didn't run properly. Unfortunatly it thinks that it did and will not patch over itself. I reinstalled and repatched and all the problems went away.
In my case it wasn't reading the personality type for the default races (not custom ones, I mean the default ones).

Help!
May be it was addressed before, but I am
new to this forum and did not find the answer to my problem, which is as follows:
I patched the game to 1.19 and when I start
the game now, the message box appears with
something like this - "can not find the field
for max. system to defend" and few more lines
like this. As I looked into AI_settings.txt files, I realised that program does not read Last few lines there.
How can I fix it ? Is it a problem with
settings.txt files or with the executable ?
I reinstalled SEIV, patched again but still
have this problem.
Cheers, Oleg.

Re: Help!
So this is a fresh install, with no modified files included? If not, the new Version added several lines of additional data to some of the AI files. So if you are using some AI files from an older Version, it will generate this error.

Re: Help!
I solved the problem
All I had to do is to manualy clean registry
before reinstalling and patching SEIV.
Have no idea how and why it helped but if anyone will encounter this problem, (s)he can try this too.
