The hated scale bug!

This bug is driving me crazy! Are there any clues on what is causing this so that you could somehow avoid it until it is properly fixed? Or is it just random and unavoidable?

Dang, this is a real fun killer...

It seems that sometime I get it all the time no matter how many times I restart; sometime I never get it. Weird and annoying.

Sorry guys I know it is on the bug list, but I just had to vent.
