				 air shield advice
On my MA Pangaea Gorgon design, I go 5e 4n 3a 6 dom, 3 order, 2 prod, 2 heat, 1 growth, with the Gorgon slept.
Is the air shield 20 you get at air 4 worth giving up a scale for? White centaur, with low prot, is vulnerable to arrow attacks, but i use them sparingly, and i am hot sure exactly what air shield 20 does? Does it only stop 1 in 5 arrows that would otherwise hit? If so, not sure it would be worth it.

I may try an imprisoned Gorgon with 9e 6n 4 a and see how tough those white centaurs. For 70 gold and that kind of bless they better eat things up.

I believe that the air shield number is indeed a % chance of stopping missiles. That would seem very consistent with the value given by the spell (80 IIRC). |

There are low-level spells and items that give air shield, you don't need to increase your air magic to insane levels for it unless you want to have high air magic in the first place. |

Spell takes a gem, and cannot give items to sacred troops. Spell is a good option, but i take 3 air anyway, was considering if the 20 shield would be worth giving up a scale point for, i do not think it is.

Air Shield is Alteration level 0, Air 1 and 10- fatigue. That's almost no requirement at all. |

That version only protects the mage though. I think Xietor's referring to protecting sacred troops. |

Okay, it seems like you're right. I thought he tried to protect his pretender. |
