Sacred killing weapon
Recently, on fighting a lot of Angels, I came upon the idea of a sacred unit killing weapon. We have several weapons that do X3 damage vs. undead, but none that do extra damage vs. sacred units.
Would it be unbalancing to introduce an artifact level weapon, that does X3 damage vs holy units? I'm not a modder, but it seems like it would not be hard to make one.

Re: Sacred killing weapon
Impossible to do it that way currently via a mod, because the mechanic is not unlocked (if it exists in the first place). However, the secondary effect of Ulm's black halberds (Guardians and Ghoul Guardians in MA & LA respectively) does sacred only damage, though fatigue only. Aoe 1 AN fatigue hit, so in large numbers it becomes brutal quickly.
That effect can be modded into other weapons.

Re: Sacred killing weapon
Thanks Edi. Kind of what I figured.
Would be extra nice to have one though. Somehow.

Re: Sacred killing weapon
You could change halt sacred to do damage to hp instead of fatigue then assign it to a new forged weapon.
Of course then you'd have the issue of changing a vanilla weapon and all the impact that would have.

Re: Sacred killing weapon
Could you place the Halt Sacred effect multiple times on this forged item? I'm guessing no, just that it would make it more effective in the hands of a single assailant.
Perhaps make it an otherwise weak weapon, but give it 4 attacks? A Censer of Repentance, or some such.

Re: Sacred killing weapon
If its angels you are fighting, doesn't the Moonblade already cover that niche?

Re: Sacred killing weapon
Moonblade is limited. It's not all that good to begin with, and is also two-handed, which limits your versatility.

Re: Sacred killing weapon
But OmikronWarrior has a good point, if you want to create a good weapon for killing angels, just make a good weapon for killing Magic Beings.
There's already a 1-handed Moon Blade too (#476), you just can't forge it. There's even a Moon Lance (#290).
