Default Need help getting to run in win7x64

As in the title I have been able to install winspww2 & winspmbt, but cannot run setsound.exe, spww2.exe or any other exe without an error stating that this version of the file is not compatible with this version of windows...etc. Any help getting these titles running would be greatly appreciated.

regards

SetSound.exe?
spww2.exe???

There is no such beast in SP Camo's WinSPMBT or WinSPWW2. Those are obsolete MS-DOS files for the original SSI products, and possibly our old DOS product as well. (I cannot recall since it has been over 5 years since I played with MS-DOS.)

The DOS games are not supported any longer. Should you want to play those, then you are on your own and will require to teach yourself how to run MS-DOS games in Windows 7 (if it can do so). See your windows help files or other supplied documentation.

These forums are for the support of the WinSPWW2 and WinSPMBT games - the old DOS SP Camo games are not supported in these forums. Nor are the original SP1-3 from SSI on topic here.

But your mention of "WinSPXXX" and then your attempting to run the old irrelevant DOS files (which do not ship with our games!) seems to indicate some severe confusion on your part - like, have you tried installing ancient DOS files on top of the Windows installation? (or vice versa?). If so, you have a jumbled mess of borked files which will in no way work. In that case - unintstall and then reinstall the separate games properly to their own separate directory structures.

Cheers
Andy

Mobhack

Thanks for your reply. It made me think to redownload the game from shrapnel. The new download worked fine, the old file I was using must be at least 3 or 4 years old and was working with winxp and I didn't think it had changed from when it first came out.

Thanks again
