Armour values

Hello

I was wondering how to determine armour actual thickness values for units

For example when I go to the information about the M1A1 abrams

It shows the front armour of the turret as 89. How do i calculate the actual thickness of the armour with the value of 89. Are their any charts available to do the conversion?
