planetary/system facilities

This has been asked before, but I cannot remember the answer. If I have robotoid factories on a planet, can I still build mineral scanners etc.? Also, if I have robotoid factories, can I get benefits from system robotoid factories etc.? Thank you.

Yes.

Only one will work ( the one with the greater percentage will be the active one. The other one will idle )

Yes they work together. One for the planet and one for the system.

So you get a max 30% bonus for the planet and a Max 30% bonus for the system total.

I did a little playing around with the facilities. I built a robotoid factory and received the bonus. I then built a system robotoid on another planet, and received a bonus. I then built a mineral scanner on the first planet and didn't notice any bonus. Finally, I tried to build a system mineral scanner and received the "you already have one in this system..." message.

So, the long and the short of it is you cannot have two different system wide facilities in the sysem, or two facilites on the same planet.

I suppose it makes sense to build the facility that makes the most sense. Why build a more expensive robotoid factory when your organics and radioactives are minimal when a mineral scanner will work, etc....
