Default D-Mod updated to GOLD

Finally finished updating my old mod to Gold. It can be found in the downloads section of the 'Data' se4 modding section.

The 'D-Mod', now called 'GoldD'. Gold Version.

This is se4 Gold with tonnes of new weapons, facilities, ship types, etc.

Major points:

Remote mining is MUCH more profitable.
Missile system re-designed (Small missiles, Armor skipping missiles, shield skipping missiles, Decoy missiles, Rate of Fire is varied, etc)
Heavy Versions of weapons (rate of fire of 2, bigger range and damage.)
Some weapons have better 'to hit' bonus (Torps!)
New mounts (including Engine Mounts)
New Systems and Systems with 'new' abilities (some organic systems will pull ships in like a black hole, etc)
Mercinary Commanders available for bases and ships.

Tonnes more. (including beefed up planets for cargo space).

Any basic se4 shipset can be used with this modd, just move them into the race folder. The TDM-Modpack races can also be used this way, just copy them over, as long as the 'Data' folder is not overwritten everything will work fine.

The old Favorites from the modd are back (Hermes Class Attack Ship!) as well as some stuff re-balanced a little for what can actually go on a vehicle and what can target what.

Great news! I'm downloading right now.

Deathstalker, those Hermes destroyers were my favorite ships. Did you ever try SPINAL mount Meson weapons on them? Will fit and gives them awesome firepower. Loved the Miniture components too, Made great expensive elite ships.

Yeah, I loved the Hermes too, equipped them with tonnes of new missiles though, mostly short range ones and godhammer missiles. Fire, then really 'dance' out of range! Throw on some 'combat afterburners' and you can really fly through combat.

Couldn't wait to dive into all the new toys, so I started a new game with full tech. small galaxy, 6 AI opp.,+random empires,hard AI,low bonus,all rest standard.
Love all the new mounts and components, especially the new 'crew' components.
Have only played for about 3 years game time (30 turns) so have not checked out everything.

Only error found so far was with the Damage Control Team Component. I got a - Cannot open file ...pictures/components/comp_082.bmp I haven't checked to see what program didn't like about file.
All in all a fantastic job on the mod.

Your the BEST ( Deathstalker ). This mode is Awesome. What makes your mode unique is those special class ships like the zews ship & araes & your Mounts WOW.. Right know im at over-all 35% research in tecks, Great ideas..NOTE :if you click on ship design & click on ( Damage crew ) it shows no pic for 82. so what i did is go in your file in data and change it to pic 83 everything fine?.Beside that theres no other problems.
Just a thought, how about creating artifacts mode .Like player finds a artifact ,& then a new teck field opens up in research menu. Is this possible to Mode?.

Thanks guys! Will definitly check out that pic 82 problem. As for tech discovered by ruins leading to a bigger tech tree I have thought about it and have a few ideas, just have to figure out what exactly to modd in that I havn't already and find the time to do it. That and once the new patch comes out and Mounts are usable by tech level I'll have to add to the Mount list as well.

EDIT: Found the picture problem, I had the small bitmap for 82 but not the large bitmap. For now just edit your files to 83 like HEMAN did, will work fine. I am going to ask the Image Mod guys if I can use it for the D-Mod so I may replace all the pic's anyway.

Thanks again for the kind words! As to my favorite stuff, the tonnes of different missiles, the living ships (of which I am going to expand upon next update) and the Mercinary Tech. (well, that and the Hermes of course! )
