Wish list: The 'I' in AI

So how dumb is the AI? Well no doubt everyone has had this happen. I'm playing a PBW game since I think November and am in contention fro 1st place. I miss the first turn ever and the AI cancels all my treaties resulting in combats with my former allies that knock out a few huge planets, puts attacking fleets in postions that will likely result in their death, and will likely have ships falling apart soon due to lack of resources! ARRRRGGG! And yea I know there is a No AI mod I just wish it could be a standard.
