				Charge! mod for mundane weapons

This mod tries to achieve better balance between mundane weapons. I haven't tested it enough to know where it works and where it doesn't.

Many weapons can now deal huge amounts of damage, which probably makes conventional heavy infantry weaker. Perhaps too weak. As I said, I haven't tested it enough.

Oh, and it also makes one-handed magic spears light lances, because once upon a time I thought it'd be nice if at least knights got magical spears instead of the Brands.

Interesting mod. Not sure about adding more attack to spears and polearms from a realism perspective, but if it helps game play, then great. I'm definitely going to try this out.

I have a mundane armor mod you might be interested in - I'll try posting it in the next couple of days.

Good thing I didn't start thinking too heavily about armors yet!
I thought it'd be interesting to make repel more important. I didn't actually test it, as I said. It does produce some strange effects, but I improved most other weapons as well.

Hey, don't let me stop you from thinking about armors! What I did is actually quite minor and hopefully not too controversial. I'll add a thread for it soon.

I tried out your mod last night, and initial impressions are good. I had to edit it a bit to get the banner to display though. There was a '#' missing in front of 'icon' on line two, and the path was a Windows path (backslashed). To display the banner, I had to make it into a valid command, and change to a Unix path (slashed).

Did you change the "Japanese" armors, and/or Spider Armor? I tried lowering their defense penalty to 0, but that felt a bit much for plate armor-equivalents.

With slash, do you mean like like this "./folder/file.tga"? It works in Windows, and if that works in Linux too I'll start using it instead of \.

I only touched the bronze armors. Very minor changes, but they definitely help several units which are otherwise a bit deficient.

About the path, yes, "./folder/file.tga" is the form that works for me. Thanks.

Yeah, the forward slash (/) works in both Windows and Linux and is therefore the slash to use.
