Posting Images on this website. (newbie)
I've looked at lots of threads on this site during the Last week or so, and every here and there someone has posted images of ships, races, and the like. I have a new race portrait I'd like to toss in.
Is there any way to do this without linking to another website (or having sysadmin status)?

Unfotunatly not at this time. We used to be able to upload a file to Shrapnels upload section and then link to it in your post, but the upload section is currently turned off with no firm eta on when or if it will be back.

Thanks Geo. So I suppose I should just wait until until I come up with an entire shipset (I have only two ships at present, then look for someone with a website to take pity on me.

You can post your shipset in the PBW file library. For that matter you could post your single image you have now, but they have to be in zip form so it doesn't work for linking into your post here so people can see it without downloading it first.

You could always setup a free Geocities Website and use it strictly to store your images while you build up the Shipset(s). Then once you're done, you can bundle it all up and upload it to PBW or spaceempires.net, or wherever else. |

I don't think Geocities will let you link directly to images, but try www.villagephotos.com - free image hosting for up to 20 images with 5MB/day bandwidth. No good if you have lots of big images, but if it's just avatars and the occasional ship portrait it'll work
