Torpedoes doing damage on near misses.
I would love to have torpedoes on my larger ships later in the game but never get around to researching soon enough because their are better weapon systems early on in the game for the size of them.
I would really love to see torpedoes have a special ability. When energy or seeker weapons miss a ship they keep on going past the ship and do no damage. Thats logical,but Torpedoes (on Star trek anyways) explode in close proximity to a ship and still do partial damage.
I would love torpedoes in this game to do partial damage on misses and be able to fire at a sector suspected to have cloaked ship or a ship hiding in a storm,etc....Wouldn't that be great!!!????
This would give me reason to use them early on.
