Noticed old bug found by Oogs in NGC4, fixed in 1.88
Newbuilt colonizers says they have movement 0/X but thay can move!
If you first choose "load" "population" and then "colonize" and then choose a planet it won't move!
Check the orders button, (the eye). If you have two "Load population" after eachother it won't move, and furthermore, it will propably clear its orders aswell after loading population.
But if you just choose "colonize" and choose a planet it will load population and move aswell the next turn.
As it also will if you choose "Load" "population" and then "move" it will work ok.
What I usually does is to choose "Transfer cargo", the icon with green and yellow arrows, and then choses "colonize", I know it's reduntant but it works.
This all is in simultaneous movement games.
I suppose it should move in either occasions, even if it has two "Load Population" and then "Move to X,Y" and then "Colonize X" in the orders queue.

Not really a "new" bug. But a common pitfall for newbies, obviously - thanks for your detailed explanation, Ruatha.
I hope the next patch is released soon.
Quote:
Version 1.88:
2. Fixed - A ship would clear its remaining orders if it tried to load cargo and
it had no cargo space available.

If you want to take less population than the max the colonizer will hold, use the "transfer" button and transfer the number of colony units you desire. I often do this if I have low population on the beginning planet and don't want to reduce it to 1.

Ships display the amount of movement points they had available Last turn in simultaneous games, not the points that will be available this turn. It is not so much a bug, but an odd way of displaying movement. It does have the advantage of letting you see at a glance any ships that were hit by events/intel that lowered their movement.

It *is* a bug, as the ship's movement line displaying the turn numbers to reach each sector uses these incorrect values.

And mostly, the "load cargo when no space is availible clears previous orders" was a bug.
