Alchemists Stone

Just forged the Stone for an indy Alchemist, and noticed it gave Fire and Cold resistance of 25. It doesn't mention any resistances in the description, so I fired up the magic item reference. Still no mention. So, my question is, should the Stone give that bonus? Or is it a bug?
