During storm, 50% of all missiles are discarded. Does this include
magic missiles like BladeWind?
It feels like, but I have never noticed single-missile spells (like LightningBolt) to be entirely without effect, but there should be a 50% chance for each missile dropping, right? Of course, lightning bolts should be exempt anyway, but I wonder whether the reduced effect of e.g. a BladeWind might be simply due to the decreased precision alone - and not by half of all the blades not appearing at all. What about other easily countable spells during storm, like e.g. MagmaBolts?
For more info on weather effects, see here.
Furthermore the Spell-Xref Document by
(the document does not credit its creator and I forgot meanwhile, sorry) states the effects of "Storm" as
- Creates rain or snow on the battlefield. Makes flying impossible and shooting difficult. A rainstorm will make it more difficult to use Fire magic.
- Gives -50% Precision to all units (experience and air magic bonuses are not affected) and 50% of all missiles are discarded, plus most flyers cannot fly (the exceptions being air elementals, spring hawks, storm guards, storm demons, sylphs, queens of air horrors, etc...). With a Winged Helmet, a flying commander can still fly in a storm.
BTW: However I seem to recall somehow that someone reported Winged Helmets not working...right?
