Eclipse Mod movement issue
For some reason, when I move a vehicle in the Eclipse Mod, it moves one sector, then the game "hangs" for like 20 seconds or so, before it moves another sector, at which point it hangs for 20 secs etc. When the game "hangs" I cannot do anything, it won't respond, when I move my cursor over a button it won't light up and no description will appear etc.
edit: Correction, make that 40 seconds when I'm in a system with another race's homeworld with an Escort in orbit.
Low tech start, turn 1, probe with 19(!) movement.

Re: Eclipse Mod movement issue
Try disabling animated ship movement in the game options.

Re: Eclipse Mod movement issue
Thank you Fyron. It's OK now. Still, I prefer animated movement, but at least this won't cause a hang.

Re: Eclipse Mod movement issue
Actually... go into Eclipse\Data\Settings.txt. Change this line:
System Ship Movement Delay Milliseconds := 10
to this:
System Ship Movement Delay Milliseconds := 0
10 is causing extra delay, likely resulting in the problem you have. 0 is the stock setting. A delay is handy on very fast computers that render the animations too quickly, but bad on slower ones.

Re: Eclipse Mod movement issue
My Probe had no movement left, so I ended the turn.
Error: File not found.

Re: Eclipse Mod movement issue
I have the latest version of the Imagemod, and Eclipse provides its own sounds. I've had no problems like this before I edited the "Ship Movement Delay" entry.
One more thing: In the tactical combat simulator, ships that moved did not cause a delay.
