Weapons of Sharpness and Magic Weapons
If a mage casts Weapons of Sharpness on a commander carrying magic weapons (say, an Ice Sword), would the magic weapons be Armor Piercing for the remainder of the battle. Would a Horned Helmet have it's attack as Armor Piercing? Chi Shoes, etc.? |

i'm not sure about secondary attacks, like chi shoes, or hooves, or the like; but i would expect they would be AP as well. |

Re: Weapons of Sharpness and Magic Weapons
That's my quess as well. However, all the attacks that don't count in ambidexterity (including Chi Boots and Gore from the helmet) could be distinguished from the normal attacks. Other than that and whether the weapon is ranged or not, weapons are just weapons. Whether unit has a weapon named "Jotun sword" or "Ice Sword", it is just a name and bunch of statistics. IIRC, the Eternal Guards mercenary group members wield Flambeaus without even the commander having the item, and some Machaka units and commander wield Bane Blades. |

They are not. When something is given Astral Weapon/Weapons of Sharpness/Fire9 Blessing as a unit icon that effects all weapons and attacks that the unit has, even equipped ones (like the Horned Helmet Gore). |

i just thought of something, nataraja with stone bird, ring of the warrior, chi shoes, horned helmet, blood thorn, sword of swiftness, gloves of the gladiator, with astral weapon+ astral shield+ resist magic he would rock. |

Re: Weapons of Sharpness and Magic Weapons
He could still only target one grid per turn, without quickness. So against most everything, having those extra attacks would only deal more damage. While overkill works against few critters, I'd rather equip my Nataraja to be able to fight for a long time and with little risk.
This doesn't mean Nataraja with Astral Weapon sucks, mind you... But he can do just fine with 2-3 weapons. Now, Nataraja with two Bows of War Astral Weapon... (I don't know if it would work). |

Re: Weapons of Sharpness and Magic Weapons
forget the chi shooes, boots of quickness give him the extra attack with a much more powerfull weapon. go with gladiator gloves, sword of quickness, and those chains (forget the name) those chains also have two aattacks. Helmet of goring or elemental helmet, and he can only use one misc, so either go with the bird or the dancing trident (it does more damage, but only has the one attack (AP)) the end result is great for dropping high HP pretenders. |

Re: Weapons of Sharpness and Magic Weapons
Better still, the twin axes (Picus's and Procas's), along with the Tartarian chains and a sword of swiftness. 8 attacks (plus one for the horned helm, one for the chi shoes and four for the trident) for a total of 14, doubled to 28 with Quickness (which you get from jade armour or the spell).
But by the time you've assembled all that lot you should have won anyway.

A minor point, but the Nataraja has only one misc slot, so you can't equip both a stone bird and a ring of the warrior. |
