2nd Best Bloodhunting Nation?
Assuming Mictlan is the first, which is the nation second-most able to get a blood economy up and running? I like Mictlan okay, but I prefer the nations with a less-primitive theme.
LE Marignon has the cheap Diabolists, and used to be my favorite bloodhunting nation, but I don't like the mash-up of DF and CotS in D:3 (thematically).
So, how does LE ULM stack up? The various Abyssian eras? Others?

Re: 2nd Best Bloodhunting Nation?
Lanka, the new nation, has a really good access to blood magic
They have :
- cheap 1 and 2 blood (B2 with a random on 1/4)
- up to B3 (or maybe 4 with a very rare random) on recruitable commanders
- national blood summons, up to blood level 8
Only weakness : they don't have access to eitheir fire or water magic, meaning no Arch or Ice Devils.
They also don't have earth magic (to summon Pedoseion, the Father Illearth)
But it's easy to manage with the right picks on your pretender, as you don't need to have anything those summons only need blood slaves and no gem, and don't have to be spammed.
A pretender with F4/E4/W4/B4 would give you access to all, as well a a medium but effective bless for your sacred (+2 to attack, defence, and strength ,as well as reinvigoration +2 (usefull for your mages, as they're all sacred)
Not very impressive if compared to a double 9 bless, but still useful, and it can make your pretender a better SC too (+4 att,def and base armor from the passive bonus)

Re: 2nd Best Bloodhunting Nation?
They dont really need ice/arch devils imo, they can make heliophagi and Mandaha's(who rock, especially with soul vortex) and since mandahas arent unique their even better. They can also cast summon davana which summons 3(troop) very powerful units perfect for gift of reason if you can get it(they even have a little magic when GoRed).
They also have good blood hunters, b1 sacred commanders with high enough health(21) and stats(16 strength, 12 attack) to survive counters like assasinations and seeking arrows. These hunters along with the previously mentioned nationals, cheaper sacred summons, access to lesser seen summons like storm demons and very versatile blood mages makes them a good blood(hunting) nation imo.
Also since with the right boosters+1-2 levels of blood empowerment(not hard as its only blood) their nation mages can cast summon mandaha and davana they are free for a good bless or scales.

Re: 2nd Best Bloodhunting Nation?
LE Ulm is indeed a good blood nation. ME and LE Aby are better at blood than EA.

EA Abyssia isn't that great at blood, I agree, but they certainly can benefit from it, and it's a good idea with EA Abyssia to consider a Pretender with atleast 4 levels of blood, since it gives a nice str bonus to already strong troops.
