Are the Alliance functions working in 1.25 with BM 1.03?

Re: Alliances.....Are they broken?
They should work at least as good as stock since its the same script functions. Note that they haven't received any treatment in the mod yet though. That's scheduled for v1.05...

Only if it is allowed by the Alliance settings.

I need to look at it again. I didn't see and option to allow or disallow treaties.
In a PBW game that we formed an Alliance (just 2 now) and we can't seem to offer treaties from the alliance chambers. When i hit Send it says we aren't allowed per the alliance rules, but I don't see where it says we can't in the alliance rules??
Is it worded "Weirdly" or something?

Re: Alliances.....Are they broken?
Oh no totally my fault Romulus68. I read Alliance but my brain said treaty. No I don't know of a way to set it in the Alliance. Are you sure you didn't have that as a stipulation in a treaty before making the alliance? I have seen some odd things carry over. In one post release game I had subjugated an empire then took them over at a later point. Even though they were gone from the game I was still getting subjugation pay from a source I couldn't identify.

Heya Romulus,
I just entered into a 2 player alliance myself and ran into the same problem this turn. After playing with the UI a bit, here's how I *think* you send treaty proposals to newly met players who aren't part of your alliance.
First off, go to the empires screen. You'll see an option for "Alliance Chambers." From there, you'll have an option for "propose new message." This will pop up a dialogue asking for the target empire, and after selecting that, you'll get the standard interface for sending a message, including new treaties.
Now, here's where I start speculating. I assume every alliance member now has to approve the message. Your draft probably spends a turn getting sent to the other members, who will likely have to vote on it. If it gets approved, I would presume the message gets sent out and the new treaty elements updated for all alliance members. I don't know if the message gets sent right away to the third party, or if it spends a turn in limbo as everyone is informed as to the results of the vote.
Hope this helps.
The problem I'm actually running into with alliances, is as follows. When my ally to be and I met, we signed a standard non-agression treaty. When we allied, one of the elements was for allowing colonies in each other's space, as we wanted to share a border system. However, everytime I try to colonize there, I'm told my treaty doesn't allow it (he had colonized the system first). Hope this gets addressed next patch.

Alliances? You must be playing MP because in single player I can't even get the fragging AI to go non agg with me Oh well, more killing I can do with less backstabbing.

That could be me in your PBW game! lol SEV Galactic Domination game......btw, we need 2 replacement players for anyone reading this..
I do everything as you listed: Empires, Alliance chamber, Propose message, choose target empire, click treaty options, hit send message, then i get I can't per my treaty.
I tried some other options and following the same steps I was able to invite a Empire to join allince (it went to votes). I was able to send a message and it went to voting, but any treaties go bad.
My ally hasn't seen these as the game is going all weird and we have several empires the cumputer is controlling even though we sent turns. I wonder if the alliance broke our empires/game?
