Re: How long is a scenario in long campaign?
A scenario is as long as the designer set it up to be.
For a generated battle, it will depend on the battle type - meeters are shorter, then advance/delay, then assault.
In any case - you get to decide now in the view map screen at purchase time, you can spin the v-hexes, or manually place them, redraw the map if you don't like it, and edit the scenario length and visibility.
in the Game Guide - See the "Purchase Screen" link, View Map box, and the link there will take you to the "View Map" section of the GG.
In the View Map screen you can e.g. use the " Redraw the Map for the Current Opponents" button - some battle times for the 2 opponents can have alternate battle locations, especially in the LC. Press that a few times, and you may get different batloc results (e.g around Caen, you may get city map fights (Caen itself), urban (Caen outskirts), or just in the Orne valley or other Normandy bits etc for e.g. UK vs GE in 6/44. Use the " Redraw Map for the Current Battle Location" button to stay with the same batloc but a different version of it (e.g. it may not draw the stream across the middle of the map next time, or even decide not to have one).
Also, as the campaign progresses and you build up unused repair points - we now allow you to use these to buy more support troops for a battle (at a premium) should you decide you need to. See the "Repair Points" box of the Purchase Screen Section.
Cheers
Andy
