				 [Possibly OT] Dominions Art
 Hi,
My wife is a part time artist. Given, very small part and very little time but somewhat of an artist nonetheless. So in the past I've taken advantage of her talent and asked her to create some dom III based miniatures (Wyrm and Scorpion man for instance), with a magnetic back so I could use them @ office. That came out nicely and since she is lately into painting I thought I'd ask her to draw a painting based on an "Epic" dom character. I had in mind the A. Seraph but I'm looking for any opinions on what would make a painting worthy of dominions.

If its of any interest I could post here a pic. of the end result.

 TIA,
 WL

Ahhmm good suggestion but I'm afraid it may freak her out
Perhaps something more banal will do. |

I'll do so soon (perhaps tomorrow). Unfortunately those two are the only ones to survive -- the others have been either lost or broken (Hehe, isn't this the fate of most dominions pretenders ) |

Some of the more impressive pretenders would be good, such as Lord of the Desert Sun or Moloch, but the angels are a good choice. |

The thing with angels is there're already a bazillion pictures of them on the web.
Maybe see which things she likes herself? Some of the dominions races are very interesting. I'd suggest something a little less overtly powerful but still powerful in its own way. Something like an Abysian or Bandar commander. Or a Venherse or the Helheim equivalent.

Deva, the dark-skinned, four-armed pretender would be nice if she doesn't mind drawing skulls and blood.
A Bandar Log war meeting would be good if she'd like to draw monkeys and/or would like to make it more comedic.

Ask her what kind of a scene/characters she'd be willing to try and you can easily pick something from Dominions. If she happens to like drawing/painting skeletons, describe Ermor. If she happens to like drawing/painting forests, a forest scene with a meditating monkey Guru or a LA Pangaea Grove Guard or that Marverni Great Boar summon wouldn't be a stretch. Comedy? Winged Monkeys. What's better than a group of winged monkeys tormenting a sleeping guy, or taking him away, or accidentally letting him fall into the sea? |

 Wraithlord,
How about painting "Hidden in Sand" - some undead rising up from the desert - could double as a Malazan illustration as needed

I would like to see more gui-screen mods and poster material for each nation. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com//showthread.php?t=30224

At one time there was talk of making things available like mugs, mousepads, tshirts, posters, etc. I whipped off a quick free-shop to show how easy it would be (took 2 minutes to do the shop).

I would still like something foresty with the Lord of the Wild on it for Pangaea. Or more of the great t-shirt ideas from the Dom2 project fleshed out with some artwork. It wouldnt have to be extensive art. It can be a doodle for a tshirt. Some great ideas never got done.
