Random Events

Had the game a while but just joined, have been busy in sp, test mods and devouring all the great information on the boards (thankyou!)

Is there a list of random events and what triggers them anywhere?

More specifically im interested in the events that cause units to attack or join you and especially what the unit numbers involved are.

A second question from a few threads i read recently is about trample, do units trample everything smaller than their size, or say 2 smaller than their size? (i.e can size 6 trample size 5, or size 4 and below etc...)
