Increasing game length?

Currently playing a long campaign with the USMC vs the Iranians in 2010.

When I played (play)long campaigns in the WW2 version most of the games were 30 to 40 turns in duration.

In MBT they are 15 to 20 turns in length - barely enough time for my leg infantry to reach their objective - let alone engage in combat.

Is there a .ini file I can modify to extends game lengths in my campaign?

You can change it using the clock icon when you view the map prior to deployment for that battle.
15 is low but MBT tends to give turns in the 20 to low 30 range. Generally more & faster vehicles plus more lethal weapons makes for a faster game.

I have a WW2 going in the snow with lots of mud trying to take a row of hills thought 60 turns would do it, past halfway & made all of 500yds

See the Game Guide -> Purchase Screen -> "View Map" box item. Press the View map link for a more detailed description of View Map or use Game Guide -> View Map Screen.

If you didn't know about that screen and how to change game length you probably didn't know about the other features on that screen. Take some time and click on each of the buttons and experiment with what they can do
