PBW Going down for maintenance on Tuesday
Don't panic. It won't be down long.
Since it's been back up it's been on a slower connection that was more accesable for maintenance just in case. Since everything appears to be working well we are moving back to the data center where it was before the crash. This will put it back on it's faster connection which should help with download speeds, for those that have noticed a difference.
It will happen in the evening on Tuesday, and shouldn't Last more than a couple hours. We will turn off the auto processing before it goes offline and leave it off for a couple days to make sure nobody gets messed up on a turn cause they can't upload.

You're turning off auto-processing again? Well, nuts to you!

Re: PBW Going down for maintenance on Tuesday
I was wondering why my downloads from PBW server were slower than usual. What a relief to know that I didn't mess my network settings!

Sorry IF. We considered not turning it on till after the server move, but we decided that it was better to test it for a day to make sure it wasn't going to cause a problem while we still had easy access. It shouldn't be off long. I am only turning it off to make sure that if anyone's time limit is reached while the server is offline it doesn't kick off the minute we turn it back on before you can upload your turn.

Re: PBW Going down for maintenance on Tuesday
No worries. It's just that I never remember to execute my game turns until a day or two after the "official" due date, and some of the players like complaining about it.

Great that it's getting faster again! Especially the graphic interface has been loading much slower.

Re: PBW Going down for maintenance on Tuesday
In case you are wondering, the move went smoothly. PBW is back up and running. Auto-turns are still off currently, but I will turn them back on tomorrow (Thursday) to make sure nobody got caught during the short downtime.
