Problem
The game will play fine for a few turns, then start to slow down and soon locks up on me. Any ideas? Deleted it and re-installed but same thing happened.

Re: Problem
Sounds like you're running out of resources...
Make sure you aren't running other programs, and that your computer meets AT LEAST the minimum requirements.
Try disabling the sound and/or going to fewer colors/lower resolution.
Increase Hd file swapping size.
Try not using the Auto Save Game feature; or at least reduce the frequency.
Clear your browser's Cache.
Make sure you have a good deal of reserve capacity on your Hd.
Get more ram.
Hope this helps...

Re: Problem
Thanks for the reply. Turned out it was because I had the CD in of all things. Odd as that sounds.

Re: Problem
That does sound odd. Especially considering the game is to be played without accessing the CD for data, only the Hd. Hhhhmmmmmm....
Oh well, Happy gaming!

Re: Problem
I think it has to do with the game accessing music form the CD. Read something about game playing slow due to music in the manual.

Re: Problem
Learn something new every day- I usually have TV or radio on while playing- Never knew there was music on the CD...

Re: Problem
Also, if you don't want to use the SE IV CD's music, you can put any other music CD in the drive, and the game will play tracks from it. There are entries in Settings.txt to customize which tracks play, as well.
