Troop Drop Order

I didn't want to keep clouding up Sachmo's story thread with ideas and questions so I started a new one.

Questions:
When loaded onto a transport in a given order, how are troops dropped? So if I have on my transport when I view them in cargo they are ordered A, B, C...these being three different types of troops. Who goes into battle first?

This is assuming that losses come in order on the planet. Meaning, if A is listed first all of A must be killed before B, if they are listed next.

And if the first two paragraphs above are true, would it work to drop from the same ship a group of troops with only shields and no weaponry in the first slot, and then have all the rest with weaponry. The question really being, if the first group gets all the damage, will the other two or three Groups inflict damage?

Yup, the order that you load them is the order that they land. If your first group is full of shield/armor laden brick ****houses then they have to be chewed through before any of your other troops start taking any heat.

Also, all ground forces fire regardless of order. Even the guys in the back are still taking pot-shots.

P.S. I think that all groung combat resolved simultaneously, though I'm not sure.

I remember reading something like that before, but couldn't recall all the specifics. And asking the experts is always faster than testing one's self.
