				 Question about magic resistance 
 I was looking at the magic resistance of my prophet in Zombie's game, and here is what is listed (the attached file has a snapshot)
 Basic magic resistance: 18
 Dominion bonus: +1
 Magic scale: -1
 Blessed: + 2
 Current magic resistance: 19
 
 Anyone know where the missing point of magic resistance is?  His equipment consists of a wraith sword, an amulet of luck, and a ring of fire immunity.

 firstly, i often find these things don't quite add up    
especially w/ prophets/pretenders.
 
but actually the problem is in the reverse direction - you don't have 1 too few pts of MR, but 1 too many    
since the bless effect isn't supposed to increase MR past 18... |

 |  When there are capped bonus terms in a formula, it makes sense to subtract the maluses first, then add the capped bonuses, then add the uncapped bonuses. So:
 
18 
- 1 (magic scale) = 17 
+ 2 (blessed, max 18) = 18 
+ 1 (dominion bonus) = 19

 |  Protection is capped at 40, although it's a capped value rather than a capped bonus. I don't know any other.
