AI Modders - Possible Politics.txt bug
Has anyone noticed whether certain lines in the Politics.txt file are being followed after the most recent patch (1.41)? In my testing for the upcoming ModPack update, I noticed that my Piundon (who are not supposed to have any treaty greater than military alliance) have a number of partnerships! Furthermore, all of the races seem a lot happier with each other and me -even though I have not tweaked any of the politics files this round. Anyone else notice anything?

Yes, I saw something like that. But I believed that was because I have changed the AI race to human, but with all the ministers under AI control.

Re: AI Modders - Possible Politics.txt bug
Tampa_gamer,
I wouldnt get too concerned about this. I posted a thread about this sometime ago (races making treaties above their limits). This bug has been around since at least v135....

Re: AI Modders - Possible Politics.txt bug
Been seeing it frequently.
I was thinking that it was just the AI ignoring the highest allowed treaty line, and accepting higher treaties from other AI's, since one of them seems to be one of the more friendly AI's (EEE, Phong, etc...) when I have noticed it.

Re: AI Modders - Possible Politics.txt bug
Is it possible that "Highest Allowed Treaty" only limits what the AI will offer, and not what it will accept? That would explain a lot.

In my experience, the race with Highest Allowed Treaty < Partnership have never offered me a partnership treaty - but I've been able to propose the partnership with them and they'll accept ocassionally.
