Some thoughts on Ice Devils
Since they were recommended to me in my Jotunheim game, I've become very fond of these little beasties. They're considerably better than Bane Lords, which are the only competitor at the same research level. The blood slaves are a bit tricky to collect, but playing as Caelum with a blood-5 pretender I've managed to summon my first one on turn 11. I reckon I could do it on turn 10 if I was lucky with the blood hunting (55 slaves in 5 turns instead of 6 or 7). Earlier than that it's hard to get the research done - if Dagan came up nice and early it might be possible to do it on turn 9 - anybody done that?
My real question, though, is their stats. Most of them get +1/-1 per cold/heat scale, to str, attack and defence. One of them (Oriax) seems to get +2 per cold scale - is this a hidden featurette, or is it explained somewhere? Anyone know any other differences?
Now, if only one of them would get heroic quickness instead of sodding Valor or Precision ....
