Permanent sub needed for Epic Heroes Game
Greetings. Even though it has dropped off the front page, the Epic Heroes Mod is in testing. We are testing it in a 12 player mp game. 11 players remain, and 2 are hurting pretty bad.
The good news is one of the races(arcos) doing the hurting needs a sub. Please give GameExtremist a pm if you would be willing to take over his elephant hordes on a permanent basis.

I'd offer, but I have unfair knowledge of my remaining effort to make his life difficult .

Re: Permanent sub needed for Epic Heroes Game
I came up with a cool epic hero for LA R'lyeh.
The "Mother Glow" (it's a monster from Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light) is aquatic and immobile. It probably has DSNW, and probably boosts your dominion spread. Maybe it's good at summoning as well - with recuperation and the summoning skill it instantly becomes competitive as the sole user of the void gate.
It's real power is that it is a horrible parasite that lays it's eggs in the minds of it's victims.
The effect is a domsummon for glow touched, who are weak-willed but have mind blasts. When they *die*, you get a Glow, which is an above average void monster, and is sacred, which you get to keep.
Thoughts?

Easily done, and a nice idea. It'd be more interesting as an EA R'lyeh thing though.

Re: Permanent sub needed for Epic Heroes Game
Well, maybe, but in the Early Era there are *lots* of mother glows, not just the one. In the "past" (the middle era, presumably) all but one of their kind are exterminated by the enlightened one (as per the Zelazny novel).

I haven't read any Zelazny except Lord Demon. While I liked that, I haven't seen others and don't know anything about Mother Glows.
