OT - Computer problems
grrrrr..... Anyone know why an antique excuse for a computer would suddenly decide to stop displaying any greens of any sort. Kinda makes it hard to see how many organics you are producing, as well as my personal shipset (which happens to be all green!!!) in 3 PBW games. Well, ok, I'm about to be eradicated from one of the games, but still....
Any advice would be appreciated (about the computer problem, not the imminent PBW loss. Although some help in that area probably wouldn't hurt, either...)
Oh, and before you say "get a new computer", let me just say that that doesn't exactly fit into the family budget at this time....

Re: OT - Computer problems
Well, first thing is to check your monitor & cable.
If you can't find any physical damage, such as bent pins & whatnot, try plugging it into a friend's computer.
If the monitor works fine, it could be your video card.

Re: OT - Computer problems
i had the same problem a while ago, only my problem was with blue.
My warranty wasn't expired yet so i returned it to the manufacturer and got a new one.
Like SJ said, if the monitor works fine with another computer, it could be your video card, if it doesn't work fine, it's broken.
So you don't necessarily have to get a new computer

Re: OT - Computer problems
Adjust the connector a little. That could get it to work (the connector on the back of the computer)
If not, then do whats already been said too.

Re: OT - Computer problems
Sounds like the gfx card -> monitor cable to me. Give it a jiggle and see if that has any effect on the image. You should be able to get a new cable for a small amount of money, unless it's on of those ones that can't be disattached to the monitor.
Let us know how you got on.
