Default How to slow down time btn systems at end of turn?

I am playing a single player game.
When I end my turn, the AI goes through the other races' turns and then mine begin by seeing the ships move.

Sometimes the ships move so fast and there is no time to see which system the movement was on. How do I change this?

I know it is possible because Aaron actually told me that there is a setting in an .ini file that determines this.

I would want to wait 2 or 3 seconds to actually see where things are happening.

Thx.

Off the top of my head, try turning on ship movement animation in the game options. It's either in (crown_icon), Empire Options button to the right of that dialog, or (more likely) in the main menu, options button. I'll try looking for the ini line...

--edit:
Ok, it's in the file Settings.txt in the Data folder. If you're using a mod, you will want to change it in the mod folder's Data folder.

There is a line that says
Quote:
System Ship Movement Delay Milliseconds := 0
If you open in notepad, just do Ctrl+F, enter Movement Delay, and it will find it. Change the 0 to something larger; 1000 would be one second, but it would likely take a little longer (especially if you turn on animation).

I have the movement and I see it but when you have only 1 ship in many systems it'd be nice to slow things down.

It actually seems to have problems!

I put it at 3000 and the game froze. I tried it several times.

Thinking that it might actually be seconds, I changed it to 5.

Then each ship would pause after each step in movement, 5 moves caused 5 delays.

Maybe this is not what I thought it was.

After ship movement in a system I wanted it to pause there for my eyes to have time to absorb what and where.

I don't think this works.

Can anyone verify??
