The AI still does not use Master Computers. Is there any way to mod this? I've tried and it doesn't work.

Give the master computer an ability, like resource generation, that doesn't work on a ship.

Now make an AI design file that calls for that ability. You should get a ship with a MC. The question is whether is will have a bridge..

I can get the Ai to place MCs on their ships, but they use the regular command components too. That's fine if I want to use my MC as an aux. control, but the big selling point for MCs is that they take up less kt.

It's not necessary to add a new ability. The MC ability works fine for that.

As others have pointed out, it's not getting the AI to use them that's the problem. It's getting the AI to NOT use the other ship control components when it does. Because of the order in which ship design is done by the AI, MM will have to make some sort of hardcode change in order to get the space-saving benefits from the MC.
