AI
Hi,
first let me thank you for keeping up this great game!
Although I think, the AI is not too bad, do you plan to enhance it ?
One proposal would be for example, that the AI scans the map for possible ambush positions to create such ambushes with its own forces or be more prepared to counter ambushes from the human player.
Regards,
Marco

Re: AI
The AI code already chooses road-block positions to place troops at. That is original SSI code form SP1.
Cheers

Re: AI
Just had to deal with nice AI ambush positions in SPWW2, fortunately along the secondary assault route, still even primary route was covered by cleverly placed AT-guns with great fields of fire along the streets (was an urban assault). Broke through in the end even with my secondary force, but mostly using raw power and the ambushes did slow me down considerably, esp. machinegun nests that managed to suppress multiple troops at once thanks to their beaten zone effect.

Re: AI
Sometimes the AI places things like AT guns in what seems like a really stupid place until you decide that's a really stupid place for an AT gun and decide to go through anyway

Re: AI
Marders covered almost all approach routes (except the very one I took with my main tank assault after due scouting), 5cm and 7.5cm fixed PaK was placed between buildings so as to be covered from the front but to have clean field of fie parallel to the frontline - of my lost tanks, about 1/3 went to these flanking buggers Fortunately my air recon didn't find them and they were far enough from my infantry screens to be discovered prior to opening fire, so I wasn't able to laugh at how the AI put them in places where they cannot hit anything that's coming at them from the front
As it was, I was able to smoke them, bypass them and the secondary attack infantry wiped them out during cleanup, but this took time and some blood.
