Applying a new mod to an existing game?
Anyone know if there's a way to apply a mod to a game already in progress? When I started the game I had no mods applied and thus can't just append the content of the mod into an existing .dm file so that's out.
Anyone know any way to apply a mod to a existing game that was started without any mods? If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.

The mods that are in use for a game are decided by the host when the game is created. I understand the desire but if it was any other way we would have a BIG cheating hole.

Which means that the hunter of heroes bug will simply destroy MP games until it's fixed.

Not abit. I dont see where some opinion bug has anything to do with this. Maybe you should post that to some other thread?

I haven't seen a single HoH eating yet. I've played just a couple of games, blitzes started from the #dominions irc.

Opinion bug?? Not sure what the hades you're talking about here Gandalf. Perhaps you haven't read about what the bug does? Something that kills anyone who makes it into the Hall of Fame is more than an "opinion bug" - the devs have said it was a bug, sadly said, "Most amusing bug ever", and have left it unfixed.
Now, most people create pretenders and strategies that might get heroes or pretender _into_ the HoF. And currently, those commanders _die_, due to a bloody bug. Certainly a lot of players would be tempted to quit / go AI when their pretender gets killed, or all their powerful mages get killed, right off the bat, to a "opinion bug".
And since you can't apply a mod once a game was started without a mod, this bug is going to continue to have an elevated level of suckage.
