Battle Report output to text
Does this sound like a good idea.
The ability to have your battles outputted to text file for review.
It would show you a summary of each round and what happened. Such as starting ship statics, Movement, weapons fired and damage and what gets damaged.
This would be really good with testing and moding.
Let me know what you think and I will clean it up and send it off to Aaron.

Re: Battle Report output to text
Good idea - some of us like to do after-action reviews of battles to see what happened, and stepping through the battle one phase at a time to get to the important parts is a pain
Not to mention all the analysis that could be done...
This is for SE5, though, not SE4? Hopefully you'd be able to rewind and fast-forward the real-time battle replays anyway?

Re: Battle Report output to text
I'd sign that too. Could you add a request for exporting ship designs and strategies to a text files? This would allow us to conduct pretty good analysis of battles.

Not only export, but import as well.

Re: Battle Report output to text
With export and import of readable text files, it would be a snap to make applications to automate ship design.
Example: Given a final design and a shipyard rate, produce the most effecient retroseries of ships to get that design.
