Can you control warp point placement?
I was wondering, can you contol the placement of warp point exits, or are we at the mercy of direction we are comming from?
I want to create warp points in my ai game from one system star to another (centrally located 6,6) but I can create the warp point in 6,6; but I can't seem to control where the exit pops up. Any suggestions?

Re: Can you control warp point placement?
You can't control where the exit warp point will be, but you can figure out where it will be. Basically, all wormholes are created as close as possible to the originating system, so they will never changed if you close it/reopen it.
So, if your system is straight ahead, the wormhole will end up being in the middle of the southern part of the targetted system. For more complex situations, I hope you still know your way around geometry.

Just a little addition....
Not quite if the game setting is "warp points located any where in system" (or something to that effect). That kinda' skews 'em a little. It is still a good approximation but it isn't as close as if that setting is off. If that setting is not selected, they will always be on the 'edge' of the system.

Re: Can you control warp point placement?
It *would* be nice to have a "receiver" component to direct the wormhole at the other end to direct it... Cloaked ship that appears over a planet and opens a WH and a whole fleet comes out.
