is it possible to control underwater shooting ability
I'm trying to create two ranged weapons. I want one to be able to fire on land or underwater, and I want the other to be able to fire only on land. Is this possible? If so, how can it be done? I don't see any relevant commands in the modding manual.

Re: is it possible to control underwater shooting ability
Only exceptional ranged weapons work underwater. The only thing I can think of is the ethereal crossbow.

Yes, I'm trying to make an exceptional ranged weapon.

Are these intended to be on a unit? You could use #watershape and #landshape to make the unit change between the two bows when he enters water or resurfaces.

Re: is it possible to control underwater shooting ability
But that still leaves the question of how to make the two weapons in the first place. I don't know how to declare in the mod's specification file that a missile weapon is supposed to work underwater.
A weapon-copying command would suffice, since the Ethereal Crossbow (and some non-forged weapons, such as illithids' mind blast I think) have the property I need. But I don't know of any such command.

Re: is it possible to control underwater shooting ability
From the silence of the mods forum, it is starting to seem that there is no way to, for instance, balance an R'lyeh unit by replacing its mind blast attack with a new, double-strength (or half-strength) mind blast attack. Is that really true?
Maybe I can give my unit a Piercer or something... but I want its attack to be stronger than that. Well, maybe I can give it a lot of Piercers....

Re: is it possible to control underwater shooting ability
I expect that mind blasts work because they have no fly sprite. Just create a weapon that has no fly sprite and I'm 99% sure that will do the trick.
If it doesn't work, and no one else has any suggestions, your best bet would probably be to just mod the weapon you want to give or add give multiple of them, or something along those lines.

Re: is it possible to control underwater shooting ability
Ah, yes, I suppose I can steal a weapon, even if I can't copy one. I wouldn't want to mess up some other unit, though. I'll consider the many-weapons option.
Removing the fly sprite did not work.

How about precision 100?

Precision higher than 25 doesn't seem to be allowed.
