Remake or Sequel?
To me Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space seems more like a remake of the original one.(Better interface and grapfics)
There seems to be very little actually new to the game in terms of substance. That is what I have gathered from the screenshots and other info on the sites. The races seem to be the same old, the sector seems to be about the same size, the artifacts and lifeforms are the same as in the original, stuff like that.
And thus, my question is:
Is it supposed to be more like a sequel(more stuff added) or a remake(the same old stuff, but made better)?
I bet the demo will clear some things up when it does come out, but it'd be nice to hear the thoughts of other people. Have I missed something while browsing through the stuff concerning Weird Worlds or is it mostly a remake? Maybe you have seen new interesting things in others places about the game?
Thanks in advance for all the answers.

I believe it's intended to be a sequel.

Re: Remake or Sequel?
It's a sequel, as in it starts right where SAIS left off; at Glory system in 4590. It's the same universe so the races are the same and everything that was in SAIS also exists in Weird Worlds. But there are all kinds of additions and you can choose from three different map sizes (1-3x the size of the map in SAIS) and so forth.

Re: Remake or Sequel?
Great.
I believe it is worth purchasing then.
If it were merely a remake, then it'd be 50/50, but if there's a bunch of new content, then I am satisfied.

Re: Remake or Sequel?
Well, for starters you can [censored] the [censored], and lordy knows everyone has been waiting for that. There are also [censored] that will [censored]. That's [censored]. My favorite feature is the [censored] which allows you to [censored]. Also, the [censored] was a big hit among the testers because [censored]. Overall, I'd say that [censored] is the most [censored] new [censored].
Hope that helps!
