Argh! Armies not moving bug, have save games
My army did not carry out its movement orders, in an MP game. I've seen this bug posted before. It's quite a strategic penalty when this happens
I have the .trn and .2h files from turn 49. I can confirm that in 49, the movement orders exist to attack an enemy province. There are no battles in the source or destination province.
I have the .trn from turn 50 too, where my army that was supposed to be moving is just sitting around defending.
Can I email these files to the developers to look at?

Re: Argh! Armies not moving bug, have save games
just be glad you've never seen some of the stuff i hit back in d2 days....
my favorite was when two of the games I was serving hosted at the same time...and they accidentally shared the same temp directory for long enough to get the .2h files from one game executed in the other. i can't even begin to express how crazy the game looked after that. all of a sudden various players had control of units they'd never seen before, and provinces scattered all over the map. i hadn't backed anything up, so the game was pretty obviously a wash. at least all the players got a good laugh out of it.
runner up was when they released a patch in which they'd misplaced a semicolon, or something to that effect. completely and totally broke one of the jotunheim themes, which happened to be being played by me in one of the games I was hosting when I patched....
but...I guess none of that helps you good luck....

Thanks for posting this VFB. I had thought I was drunk or crazy when armies did not move as they were ordered to. Now, maybe not.

Oh, I'm both! Well, not drunk right at this particular moment. But my armies still didn't move even though they were ordered to. I've seen others mention this problem before too, but of course it's never a big deal ... until it happens to me!
(Kidding about the big deal part. It was a hot sunny day, when a messenger with orders from above arrived. The army must quit their idling, and march across the border this month, numerical inferiority be damned! War Minotaurs be damned! Ten score and more Centaurs, with great massive bows be damned!
I figure the captains in that province must have put rocks in the messenger's pockets and thrown him in the river.)
