Choosing map sides
When playing a random generated battle is there a way to choose whether your forces start on the left or right side of the map?

Re: Choosing map sides
Sides are assigned depending on battle location and given country, for example russia will always be on the right side, while the USA always on the left side. I have read explanations about it being determined by the code itself. The answer is: There isn`t any way to choose on what side you want to play.
Regards
Robert

Re: Choosing map sides
There is a way Select such a country that you'll get desired sides (IIRC for example Russia vs. China has Russia on the left, and when playing USA against DPRK I was always on the right) and then buy whatever you want for yourself as "Allied"

Re: Choosing map sides
Regardless of which side I'm started on, I simply cycle the "Redraw Map for current battle location" button to find a suitable terrain layout for the approach I want to try. The side you're stuck with then becomes a non-issue.
