Back on the Wii
I'm back. I finally was able to get on the internet thru my Wii, since I could no longer go to any of the public libraries in Tampa. Does anyone know how I can d/l stuff thru the Wii so I can put it on my computer?

Re: Back on the Wii
Do I really want to know what you did to get blacklisted from the public libraries? .... no, no I don't think I do.
Welcome back. I am a bit confused, though. how are you using your wii to get online, that CAN'T go through your computer, too?

Re: Back on the Wii
My address is in another county, and now the Hillsborough County libraries will no longer loan books or dvd's or cd's out to out-of-county patrons unless they pay for a $100 library card. Forget that!

Re: Back on the Wii
I still don't understand how you can get online with a Wii, but you can't connect a PC. Any network you could connect the Wii to would also accept a regular computer, since you have to connect it to a router of some sort.
Not sure if Opera on the Wii is capable of downloading files; it would have to be able to write them to the SD card slot if it is at all possible. Then, you'd simply put your SD card in a card reader hooked up to your PC, and you're good to go.

I was thinking about that myself. What is a good but cheap card reader? I can't hook it up to my pc (due to the fact it won't recognize the USB ports), but I can transfer the files on my work pc to cd-rom.

All you need to know is that nintendo is a horrible evil company hell bent on making your purchase everything needed to actually make it a functional, enjoyable machine.
I can rig an xbox to work with a computer that connects with a wireless network, connect my external harddrive and browse its contents, connect and view videos stored on any computer in my network, but the wii is a horrible horrible urine-filled device hell bent on using hello kitty and sonic the hedgehog and racist italian sterotypes to kill us all.

Re: Back on the Wii
All card readers are pretty much the same; I doubt the parts inside are made by more than 1 or 2 companies.
