Hi,

in Version 1.82, this was added:
7. Added - The Log Window will now return you to the item you had selected the Last time you were in the window.

I think the Ships/Units list would also benefit from this. In my current game i have several mine layers, sat layers, pop transports and i need to check these every turn.
For instance, i select a minelayer and then do something with it and then i go to the next minelayer. I have to scroll way back again to find them and sometimes i can't remember which ones i already did.
It would be helpful if the position of the list was also remembered.
And some filters to filter on the type of ship would have been cool too.
I guess that's going on the SE5 wishlist.

Any other quick way to select ships?

Agreed. I have sent a request in to MM a while back for all reports to be like that. i.e. Colonines, Planets, etc.

I'd really like to be able to form shortlists for various ships or fleets that I need to keep checking every couple of turns. Say, one list for mine layers, one for satellite launchers, one for fleets getting in position for offensive maneuvers, etc.

I absolutely support your request. The change made for the log list is very helpful for me but as you say other lists as ship/unit, construction, colony lists are getting very large too in late games and the same feature as for the log list would be useful there too.

I agree minipol; this is a very good idea. Scrolling through the list of ships is really not much fun. Is there going to be another patch, I wonder? If so, I hope your suggestion is taken!
