MegaMega game
Did all the mega games we have done pretty much fill up?
Are any still running?
Im thinking that things have been kindof slow and will probably continue to slow for December. So Im shooting an idea for early January.
What are we up to? 100 nation slots? 0-99 right?
Filling all 100 with modded nations would be a mess to iron out the conflicts and would be a heck of a load on a server.
SO......
what if someone modded ONE low-load nation a hundred times?
Create a generic nation. Basically indept units. No added graphics, no added abilities. Just a simple nation of scout, archer, hvy infantry, knights. A couple of commanders, some mages, a priest. What is the "better independents" mod using?
One MegaMega game of 100 matching nations with no special abilities. Call the game Skill-n-Luck (cause the winner will claim it was won only on skill and the losers would all claim it was luck). They all get the same choices for pretenders. They all get the same units.

Re: MegaMega game
Huh, what? Kingmaker is on turn77, still some time to get it finished [even with someone spamming wish for Armageddon]. If you want it somewhat fair, just ban overpowered nations [LA R'lyeh, LA Ermor, EA Hinnom, MA Ashdod, LA Gath [not sure here] and EA Niefel] + use CBM.

Re: MegaMega game
No that wouldnt do.
For one thing Im not that impressed with CBM. For another, the idea is to get 100 nations in the game. Any fill nations would suffer against the ones in the game now. And having the usual nations in it would be just a test of peoples ability to play their favorite nations. There are pleny of MP games for that.
And lastely, if it didnt cause "huh what?" then it wouldnt be me.

Re: MegaMega game
I really doubt you can get 100 people to play the same nation as 99 other players. Especially new fake nation with no background etc.

Sounds interesting. Don't know if you could get 100 people but I like the idea.

Re: MegaMega game
Well since it would be a level playing field I think I could pitch it to the the lurking crowd. Join anonymous. Dont sweat winning or losing. Help us test the games limits (since Im still not sure this can be done at all without crashing)

Re: MegaMega game
How large are you going to make the map?
I think if it's too large it will be more a test of patience than of skill and luck.
But if I've got time in January I might be willing to join.
P.S.: What might be even weirder is to give the indies units from the normal nations - although that would unlevel the playing field again.

Well for a game with that many players we cant have large map. Its not possible. The games definitions (when you choose a random map) is that small is 10 provinces per player, medium is 15 per, and large is 20 per. The game limit is 1500 provinces which would be 15 province per player so I guess we will be playing on a "medium" map.

Interesting twist. Im more interested in interesting than fair. I might keep that in mind for another game.

Illuminated One:
Kingmaker, with 'just' 61 nations, is in it's hmm... 7th? 8th? month. So here expect at least 12 months of gameplay to finish it [or rather a commander limit getting reached before].

Re: MegaMega game
I have no idea how this could work but instead of everybody having the same nation, give them the nation as a starting point and use some type of point system to get better troops, for example 2 point could buy you the use of a certain type of Amazons
